Carl von Linné (Carl Linnaeus) tea blend

Today, we celebrate the nameday of Carl (Carl von Linné / Carl Linnaeus), one of the most influential botanist in history. Among many other important things, Carl named and described the tea plant Camellia Sinensis. He choose the name Camellia as a genus to honor Kamel’s contributions to botany. The tea plant is however not a Camellia but rather a Thea. The name Sinensis means From China, in Latin.

Linné tried to grow tea in Sweden, but never successed.
